Dear Ife,
I must confess that I am quite thrilled to have received this letter; I kind of saw it coming. When I first walked into the class this morning my eyes caught a somewhat cute boy smiling at me in a frivolous manner. I tried not to stare into your eyes but it only seemed your eyes kept dragging my head to look in your direction. The more I resisted the more I got tempted to look.
I am fine, and my parents are well. I had plantain with scrambled eggs for breakfast. I really did not sleep well last night because I was worried and anxious of how my first day in a new school would look like. Thanks for appreciating my beauty.
Tunde is right, you really are smiling stupidly, you may not think I notice but I do. Please don’t stop staring. It’s kind of cute.
Thanks for thinking I am smart but really, I have a lot of help from home. Daddy says I must do very well in school. I have about five lesson teachers and I have treated that topic like two times now. Don’t feel bad about not getting the answers right. It’s actually quite simple. I could teach you if you want.
We could meet in the library during recess; perhaps there you could talk to me. I am a little bored. I have not made any friends yet. The girls in class seem to be studying me. Probably they feel I should talk to them first. They are mistaken. By the way, it was cool that you did not cry. I don’t like boys that cry. I have heard about Geneva, it’s a beautiful place. Looking forward to going there with you (lol)
