Voice of an upcoming artiste

Note , this story is inspired by a mixture of personal experiences, stories I have heard, and my wild imagination

Hello everyone one, I am an upcoming Nigerian artiste and I want to share my dreams and travails.

I have been singing since I can remember. My fingers hurt because I work them on the guitar all day; I create new songs waiting for a chance to be heard. I know it is in me, I will make it someday.

I need a someone to explain to my parents that I can do great with my music. I don’t need to be a medical doctor or an engineer to make it someday. I can do well with music. I do alright with school work though, but music is what keeps me alive.

My friends think I am a joker, little do they know that one of the world’s future big star is hanging with them. Some of them believe in me though, anyway, I don’t need anyone to believe in me so far I have faith in myself.

I try to rhyme with everything I say. Some people think I am crazy, but it is only practice. I think about how fresh I will become, how those girls who ignore me now will be fainting when they think I looked in their direction. I dream everytime about the flashy Bugati(s) and Lamborghini(s), the private jets and cute models, the lavish parties and big vacations, the world wide tours and the crazy female fans.

I know all this come with the package, but it is not what keeps me going. It is my inner love for music that prompts me to push harder. When I sing, I feel on top of the world.

I save every penny for studio time. I spend quality time on twitter, trying to get those big artistes to notice me, trying to get that record label to hear my song and probably sign me.. Some people call it “famzing”, if only they could understand. I am a hustler, fighting for my opportunity, fighting for my big break. To some people, today, I am a nobody , but tomorrow I will be a somebody.

I see a future where Nigerian artistes like wizkid and olamide amongst others will be my hommies. I think about the time I will walk up to Canadian crooner Justin bieber and he would have already known me. Together we would do the world’s biggest song . Anyways, enough dreams for now. It’s time to head to the STUDIO.
