Yep.... Wanna know what goes on up in my head?.... Just tune in here more frequently.
I have not been posting much due to a combination of reasons ... Laziness I think tops d list which resulted into what many writers tag "writer's block!" Most times this is a lie! It should be called "brain block''... D inability or better still.. Laziness to think! Yes, Thinking is hardwork.... Not worrying.....thinking... Ask good thinkers they would tell you!
Anyways, I was practising a combination of 3 chords on selenah (my guitar) dis morning and I realised I had started flowing better.
I was glad, The kind of happiness Drogba must have felt when he finished scoring the winning penalty for chealsea in that champions league final.
I knew I owed this feeling to my few minutes of practice the last few days! Just then, what I read sometimes ago crossed my mind! Dere might be talent, but it would never stand continuous practice!
No matter how talented you are, once l practice better than you.. l'll beat you at whatever it is you ate talented at! Though dere are exceptions to this golden rule! (I will get to this soon)
Dere is a theory that if u put in 10,000 hours of practice into any endeavour of life you would definately become a guru at whatever it is u do!
I believe very much in this theory, it is just dat.... like I said dere are exceptions! I recall my funny experience with soccer in school! I am good at soccer, not exceptional .... but good... Most likely 'cos I played quite a lot of soccer while.growing up.
I met some boys in d hostel field playing soccer, dey were mostly hefty looking compared to my slender structure but I thought to my self "I will dribble d hell out of these guys" so I went and played with them ....to cut d long story short dey ended up giving me a chest injury garnished with an excruciating chest pain dat lasted 2 weeks and still capable of hurting me till date!
I decided not to play soccer competitively again! I was more skillfull Dan them .. taken... But I was not ready to nuture bruises to prove my worth! Mother nature had given them an advantage over me and I was not ready to pay d price to counter dat advantage! Instead I converted to another sport which made the difference between two opponents more of skill rather than physical bruteness!
I have beat around the bush enough... Now it is time to hit the nail on the head! WITH PRACTICE U CAN OUTDO TALENT!
But again... These are just my thoughts...U can decide to take dem seriously or laugh them off . The ball is in your court!
