Usually, I'm not fond of baring out my mind on these sort of issues on cyberspace. If you come to me on a personal note and ask for what I think, I'll be glad to share my opinion with you . But recently I decided I was being selfish with some things I was privileged of discovering and knowing and so if sharing this with the world might be helping someone live a better and much more fulfilling life Then I would! So here we go
So, when is the right time to have sex?
In our world today, there seems to be no special time to have sex. The answer some people would give me is anytime, or everytime. There is a lot of madness going on! Preteens, and even children in their early teens are already engaging in this sacred activity! Yes, it is sacred! and I'll come to that in a giffy.
Some people have even turned this thing to total pervasion. I was reading in the papers yesterday of a father who allegedly raped his 14 year Old daughter twice and he has reportedly confessed to the crime. Just crazy! That little girl is a victim of a "wicked world" and I pray God grants her the grace to recover from such a situation.
Ok, so some of our friends would tell us that having sex is not a big deal and would try and make it look like an everyday ordeal, it is usually because they have been unfortunate and have already fallen victims of pre marital sex and are trying to make it look like it's nothing so that we would all be partners in crime.
The truth is that sex is not something trivial. In fact it's one of the biggest deals on the planet!
Have u ever wondered about what an awesome creature you are? The ability to think on your own, the ability to create, the order we command. Well, Sex is the integral activity that creates such awesomeness!! It's not something we should mess with. That's what makes it sacred. It creates you!!! Yes you! The very one created in the image of God!
Sex is something God created for a husband and a wife to enjoy in marriage alone!! . Going in the opposite direction would be like lifting the World cup trophy without playing in the finals! You see..... That would be pointless. There is definately a lot of joy in waiting 4 years and playing in the group stages and getting through to the finals, winning the finals and lifting the trophy. That's when it all makes sense.! There is definately a reason babies are not born talking. There is joy in waiting for about a year to see a baby take his or her first steps!
The problem with most people is that they believe everyone is already doing it so there is no point in keeping yourself for someone who most probably is not keeping his or herself for you . But I tell you, it pays to keep yourself because you would enjoy life in general when you do things at the right time.
Everything has a time. That is the beauty of life. A time to be born, a time to die, a time to smile and a time to cry, a time learn to walk and a time to use the wheel chair, everything in its time. That is the beauty of life. Don't tarnish your life with impatience and peer pressure, wait!!!
And if perhaps you have already engaged in pre marital sex, make a commitment to be sexually pure as from today. I am not saying it would be easy, but if you are willing, I believe God will see us through.
The wait is what makes the entire ordeal make sense. Waiting for that special someone and making beautiful children the way God planned it!
This decision to stay sexually pure definately wouldn't be easy , but the journey starts by first making a decision and then walking through the challenges.
Make a decision to hold on for the right time and the right person God has planned for you, for to everything in life there is a right time.
So I'm not saying wait so you don't contract HIV, or wait so you don't have unwanted pregnancies! I'm saying wait for the sake of waiting
