YBNL is arguably the most consistent label in Nigeria at the
moment with acts like the YBNL boss Olamide aka Badoo sneh!, YBNL Tigger Lil
kesh ( Keshii sneh) , Adekunle Gold and of late Viktoh ain't doing bad too.
Releasing constant hits back to back, some carry a lot of sense others are just
loveable nonsense. You can’t argue that the beats are awesome though.
Young John is at it again. Almost every track this producer
jumped on this year was a hit. He is definitely enjoying his wave of fame.
Patoranking is also featured on this one. He delivers with the usual ":Patoranking" style
Lil kesh really knows how to get everyone dancing. He
doesn’t always have much to say but says the little he has well. He is also a trend starter and he has got the
whole country shouting “SKIIIIIBO”. Skiibo has practically become my recent
expression for excitement.
THE REVIEW
The song is a typical of the YBNL hits . An up tempo song
that gets you nodding and loving the beat. Lil kesh tells a story of meeting a
girl at Shoprite, and then tries to "sike" her and she was fronting. Which is
normal for girls, they have to front, even if they like you. Apparently, she
even liked lil kesh as she was blushing but doesn’t want to feel cheap and
tells him he would have to earn even her number. Lil kesh then goes on ranting
his chorus of “Is it because I love you”. Wondering if that’s why she was
fronting.
He succeeds in dating her and after 2 years and she finally admits he is the coolest. So I
guess the message is after all the fronting she still loved up later! So guys
if you have been on that girls case , don’t give up. The simple message I drew from Kesh’s song is whatever your dream is , don’t
give up. Keep persisting till your dream becomes a reality.
So what is that thing you are trying to succeed at but it seems like its not working. Stay on it and it will work out. Keep persisting till the whole world believes you are the coolest
A part that got me giggling is when Kesh said "she loves it
when we” hmmm hmmm “ I know that you
understand!" By the way, I believe it is important that we all chill for what
kesh says” we Understand" till marriage, not after dating for 2 years. You can
read True love waits to evaluate my reasons further. It’s also nice to know Kesh is exercising some
restraints in scarring us J.
