Beauty Lies

Everyday I stare

Into those mystery eyes

I wonder with care

If there exists a greater beauty

And every second that passes

Seconds that tick into minutes

Minutes become hours

Hours turn to days

Days become years

Years evolve to grey hair

I now know that time

Cannot erode her beauty

Because beauty lies

Not in the eyes

But in the way those eyes

Warm a heart as cold as ice
