Simisola Ogunleye
popularly known as Simi is arguably one of the best female vocalists in the
country. With Songs like Tiff, Jamb question, open and close and recently Love
don't care,we can't help but duff our hats for the small but mighty Singer.
Signed to X3M music
owned by Steve Babaeko, the Mass communication graduate from Covenant university
described 2014 as her breakthrough year in the music scene. The songstress and
her beau,YBNL act Adekunle Gold have managed to keep their romance on a low
key( but we still know sha J
The
interesting about simi is that she is too talented, mixing and arranging hits
back to back. She is rumored to have arranged and mixed classics like
Adekunle Gold’s Orente and of course the thriller from Falz’s latest album
compilation “SOLDIER”
THE REVIEW
Love has many features but in all ,Simi decided to examine how love
doesn't care about tribe or religion. The song Love don't care as sung by Simi shows
the need for unity in diversity.
Love don’t care is slow
and soothing, her voice gently caresses our earbuds throughout the length of
the song. Apparently, the message of this song was what was to be emphasized
and the voicing was spot on.
Love don't care was
produced by Oscar who has signed a production contract with the singer. The
song is 3:25s long and doesn't employ the use of much instrumental. Perhaps
because she didn't want us to just dance and overlook the theme of the song,we
don't know but what we do know is that Simi is a tiff and she just stole our
hearts.
Favorite Part.
I just catch chills
anytime I hear Simi say ”Fada” (Father). She said this on Soldier and now on
Love don’t care. I love the way she emphasizes are Yoruba intonation, for
example the way she pronounced “Tisha” (Teacher)
