THE STRUGGLES OF AN INTROVERT by Abimbola Adenmosun (MystiQueen) There goes the euphoria inside of you again, you can feel it in your guts but here is the problem, you don’t know how to express yourself. You’re scared of what people would say, or how stupid you might look, you’re too conscious of your environment. You’re so talented…. You draw so well, but then you feel it is not really necessary to share your art with anyone, your sonorous voice brings tranquility to the atmosphere, but sadly all of the pitches, rhythm, and melody never exceeds the bath tub and bathroom, so you become a “bathroom maestro/diva”. You are eloquent, a great orator, you talk to yourself but can’t share with others, cause the your mouth just wouldn’t do as you please. You care about others, you really do, but you find yourself wallowing in your own problems, emotions and feelings. There is so much in your heart to say, yet you bottle them up, and when it seems like an overflow of emotions would occur, you try hard to speak but tears replace your words. Only you understands your kind of person, because nobody ever does, they feel you have a problem. When you try to carve your own niche, it is regarded as ‘thinking too highly of yourself’. Despite the struggles, you strongly believe that one day your guts would push your mouth to say what your heart has longed to expressed. You strongly hope that one day you would stop existing and start living.
