1)Who is Timmy
(Asides the popular Blogger the world knows you as) TIMMY : Firstly, let me thank you for having me on your platform. It is a wonderful privilege. My name is Akinyemi Oluwatimileyin, a native of Ogun state, South-west NIGERIA. I'm the last of 4 children and the only male. :) I grew up in the North, Niger state precisely where I had my elementary education and then we moved to Ogun state in year 2002. I had my secondary education at Paragon int'l comprehensive college, Abeokuta and then Moshood Abiola Polytechnic where I studied Civil engineering before moving to Federal university of Agriculture Abeokuta for Hydroengineering.
2) Tell us your philosophy about life, What
makes you tick? TIMMY : About that, one thing about me is that I'm very optimistic in nature. I believe everything is possible because if you can think it it's actually possible. I'm a lover of creativity and innovations. I'm a creative person and a lover of wonderful ideas, being unique and doing things differently and still touching lives. So, in that wise, I do not allow fear to take charge of me, whatever the case maybe, I make sure I eliminate fear because to live a creative life, one must first lose the fear of being wrong. Life isn't a struggle. I play my game and I don't see myself as being in competition with anybody . The thing is, in this age, we all go through lots of intense pressures and stress of life. People are falling victim to stress, anxiety, worry and fear. So, another is finding peace; which is very important and by so doing, nothing will ever knock one off his/her game. Hard work has no substitute, ain't no shortcut to success. If we make up our mind what we are going to make of our lives, then work hard towards that goal, we never lose, somehow we win.
"Hard work has no substitute, ain't no shortcut to success" - AKINYEMI TIMILEHIN
3)What other things
do you love doing creating the next trendy content
TIMMY :
Errrr, actually I'm a lover of fun and I enjoy doing quite a number of things. I'm a writer, I love to read and write. I read almost anything that comes my way, I always want to know things. The Internet is like my best friend. I love seeing movies, travelling and meeting people. I love listening to the radio a lot and listening to good music. I love to sing as well. I've got quite a good voice (smiles) and I enjoy playing certain musical instruments (drums basically) among others. I love to make people laugh/smile. I like it when I'm the reason for someone's happiness. I'm not a comedian but I could be unintentionally funny. I look really cool and gentle, but....... (laughs)

4)What would you be
doing if you were not blogging
TIMMY :
Probably broadcasting. I've got great passion for it and I believe I might still end up going into it.
5)What inspired you
to start Trendsexpress?
TIMMY :
Actually, I've been into regular blogging since 2013 but I didn't really take it seriously. I figured there're lots of bloggers out there, everyone doing almost the same thing. So, I figured I need a sort of re-branding. I've got passion for fashion, I'm a fashion enthusiast. Trendsexpress came about as an expression of my passion. T.E started out basically as a fashion blog, but then the dream got bigger; I decided to make it a fashion and lifestyle digital magazine providing contents you can't just find on any regular blog/site. I had lots of ideas in my head and I knew I couldn't handle it all alone so I thought of a good friend of mine who is of great intellect, Bamgbose Temitayo, he's a lifestyle coach and a self improvement tutor. I shared my ideas with him and we decided to partner and make Trendsexpress a dream come through and I thank God for He has been seeing us through. I just wanted a little bit of difference, didn't want to follow the crowd.
6)What do you want to
achieve with Trendsexpress
TIMMY :
Trendsexpress is a unique brand, different from the norms. Trendsexpress (www.trendsexpress.net) is a digital magazine with thousands of followers aimed with the objectives of enlightening and re-branding our readers in the form of lifestyle articles, relationship articles, fashion articles, bizarre news and self improvement articles.
T.E is a force to reckon with as it gains its online presence on various media platforms. We’re making notable huge strides in educating, entertaining and informing our esteemed readers and subscribers. In our mission and strategy to grow, our aim is to showcase entertainers/entrepreneurs/big achievers and the values they offer to the globe.
We aim at showcasing successful entrepreneurs/artistes/models/awardees that are thriving in their area of expertise. In this respect, we magnify their career, business and industries to the world, creating awareness for them and making them a source of inspiration to those who desire to tow their path.
I noticed people in this part of the world don't listen to, read or watch what they need they do so to what they want and logically; needs is of more priority than wants. In this vein we tend to give them both needs and wants all in one package. What they want to read or hear being what they also need.
So, trends express with very capable hands is leaving no stone Unturned to become one of Africa's leading media brands, refining, reforming and educating people in an entertaining way.
7)Where do you see T.E in the next 2 years
TIMMY :
In the next 2 years, I see T.E as one of the leading media brands in Africa and a pace setter for other media bodies.
8) How many people are partnering with you in T.
E currently
TIMMY :
Four people currently .
9)What were your fears while starting T.E and
how did you overcome them
TIMMY :
Gaining grounds and getting people to recognize the brand, never knew how to go about it all as well as getting verified by Google (which isn't something easy), but thank God, the feedback has really been encouraging and the growth of T.E has been rapid. Determination, hard work and consistency has been the way out.
10)What advice do you have for someone starting
up afresh.
TIMMY :
Nothing good comes easy and like we all know, Rome wasn't built in a day. Whatever you derive pleasure in and have passion for, waste no time, start with whatever you have and believe in yourself; with hard work, the sky is just the beginning. It's all going to pay off in the long run.
11) We know you are a
guru web designer, how did you acquire
your skills
TIMMY :
(laughs) I won't call myself a guru. Learning never ends. Somewhere in the world, there will always be someone better than you at something.
" Learning never ends " - Akinyemi Timilehin
I got to learn Web designing online. Few years ago, I remember wanting to enrol at ban ICT institute to learn and I was asked to pay about #500,000. That fee made me withdraw and so I just had to find a way out. Like I said earlier, the Internet is like my best friend, trust me; you can learn almost anything online for free. I learn everyday. Google. YouTube videos, downloaded enough pdf files.
So, skill acquisition isn't something you have to pay a huge amount of money for. Majority of youths today use smart phones. You shouldn't be spending thousands on subscription monthly if you can't gain something tangible from it. The Internet has empowered a lot of people, lots of businesses and all. So, if you have the money to pay to acquire any skill your desire, do so and if not, the Internet never disappoints. :)
12)Kindly share with
us a moment you regard as the most embarrassing moment in your life so far?
TIMMY :
(laughs). Can't think of any at the moment.
13) Your female
admirers are dying to know if they have a competition , kindly give them an
answer J
TIMMY :
(laughs) this is one question that must always be asked. Anyway, the only competition would be with Trendsexpress (smiles)
